Privacy policy
This policy covers Deckmere. The app-specific processing is explained below. We never sell personal data.

1 The short version
Deckmere stores your cards, decks, imported documents, images, audio and study history on your device. On Apple devices, the app also uses your Apple account’s iCloud to synchronise supported records. On Android, records stay on the device and in any Google backup you enable. We do not run a Deckmere account or receive your study material on our servers.
Cloudflare hosts this website and provides cookie-free visitor statistics. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to answer you. Store purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
2 Who is responsible (controller)
Oomny B.V. provides this app and is responsible for the website and support processing described here. Its address and registration are on our legal information page. For privacy questions, write to privacy@deckmere.com.
3 Where your app data lives
On Android, recognition and text-generation features use Google ML Kit. Images, text and recognition results are processed on the device, not sent to Google for cloud AI processing. Google states that ML Kit may send technical metrics about SDK performance and use, including device and app information, device or installation identifiers and error events. These metrics can be sent through Google Play services. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure. We do not receive these provider diagnostics as app analytics.

Card drafting processes the material you select on your device using Apple Foundation Models or Gemini Nano where available, or a local rules-based fallback. It does not upload your material to a cloud AI service. Import, export and backup files are shared only through the destination you choose. Your device or cloud-storage provider handles any backup you enable under its own settings and privacy policy.
Apple and Google distribute the app and process store purchases under their own terms and privacy policies. The app checks purchase entitlements to unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
The app processes the material you choose to provide to perform the functions you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, to the extent that this involves processing by us). You do not have to send us your app content. Without a reply address we cannot answer a support request. The app makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
On Android, system backup to your Google account is available if you enable it in your device settings. Google handles that backup under its own privacy policy.
4 What this website processes, why, and on what basis
- Technical connection data. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Visitor statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and loading performance without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting individual visitors.
- Support messages. We process your email address and the message you choose to send to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or performance of a contract when your request concerns purchase support (Article 6(1)(b)). Please include only information needed to handle your request.
The website has no advertising, profiling or automated decisions about you. Purchases take place in the stores, not on this website.
5 Service providers and recipients
Cloudflare hosts this website and provides cookie-free visitor statistics. Microsoft 365 receives and stores email sent to our support and privacy addresses. Apple and Google distribute the app and handle purchases and any device backups under their own applicable privacy policies.
6 International transfers
Cloudflare and Microsoft operate internationally and may process website and correspondence data outside the European Economic Area. Their data-processing terms include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses; applicable adequacy decisions may also apply. We do not promise that all processing takes place in the EU. Contact privacy@deckmere.com for information about the safeguards applying to your data. Independent services you choose, such as a store or cloud drive, explain their own processing in their privacy policies.
7 How long we keep it
Local app records remain until you delete them using the app’s controls or remove the app’s data. Copies in iCloud, another cloud drive, device backups or exported files follow that service’s settings and your own deletion choices. Removing a local copy does not by itself delete all other copies.
Support and privacy correspondence is kept while your request remains open and afterwards only where needed to document its handling, resolve a dispute or comply with a legal retention duty. Technical request data is retained by our hosting provider for service operation, security and investigation of abuse. Contact us for the retention rules applicable to a specific request. Store purchase records remain with Apple or Google under their policies and legal obligations.
8 Your rights (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact privacy@deckmere.com. We normally respond within one month. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. If an extension is permitted for a complex request, we explain it within that month. We cannot retrieve content that exists only on your device.
You may complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local EU/EEA supervisory authority.
10 Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
